It’s been a bit…but I’m here to write an update, though there’s not much to update on. My Monday and Tuesdays usually start with walking my friends dog for her, and also playing with their cute cats lol. Then I’m usually motivated to get back home and practice as well as work on something or compose. I am currently working on a composition for my recital and am pretty happy with it so far. The other days of the week are typically a bit more difficult for me to find motivation to practice, but I am practicing more this summer than I have in previous summers. I’m trying to focus on that part, not the fact that it’s way less compared to the amount I practice during semesters.
Mentally, I’ve been alright too. Just the usual ups and downs. The medication I’m on I think does help, but sometimes I do feel like it’s just kinda numbing. I ended up making a quick trip out to WV last week to get new tires on my car (we didn’t pay attention to which area we ordered so they were sent to WV instead of here). It was as exciting as it sounds, though I was able to eat at some of my favorite places that I’ve been missing, aka Bubble Fish. My dad also finally got his wish come true in having me go to Hillbilly Hot Dog, which was actually pretty good. I’m not a huge hot dog fan, but it was still very good! Plus the decor and atmosphere was just cool to see.
Then, of course, Stray Kid’s new album 5 Star dropped! So of course, I bought some albums and I was actually lucky enough to get a preordered signed album!! We’re pretty sure it was signed by Hyunjin 🙂 . I always say to go listen to their songs, and this album is no different. It’s really good and I’ve been listening to it every time I go somewhere. I also had a little sibling picnic date with my sibling, who got me into Stray Kids. We got albums together and then had a little picnic and then did the little painting thing where you trade paintings after some time. It was a lot of fun, though they are leaving me this week to go work at a camp T_T . So I will actually be home alone with just my parents for a while….which hasn’t ever happened so we’ll see how that goes.
And lastly, it is June, which means it is pride month! So happy pride to all the LGBTQ+ people out there 🙂 and remember that you’re loved and supported <3
