My weekend was much busier than I thought it was going to be. Saturday, I spent my morning cleaning which is so exciting. Then, I rehearsed with people for our quartet and then afterwords we all ended up hanging out for a long time playing just dance. It was a lot of fun, just a bit unexpected. My other plan, before that, was to take my dog to the park since it was really nice out, but as soon as I started rehearsing with them, it began to rain and get gross, so that plan went into the trash. I did have the night to myself to chill though. I was pretty sure that I was going to come home to my apartment being a disaster, as it was storming and my dog was alone. Instead, I came home to her excitedly greeting me with my vacuum running…I guess she wanted to clean… My internet was also flipping out Saturday because of the storm, which made me get under my bed a few times to try to fix what I could, which Piper thought was just so fun. Clearly, getting under the bed means it’s time to cuddle 🙂
Sunday, I slept wayyyy in, which was needed. I had to pick up some groceries, so I did that before picking up a few people and heading over to a flutists apartment for dinner and games. This was also a ton of fun, though there was a lot of yelling with a game. All fun though. I wasn’t planning on socializing much this weekend, but that’s like all I did. I am completely exhausted now, but it was still nice. Today was pretty typical. I practiced, which felt like the first time I did in forever. Then had band rehearsal which was meh and then for my flute lesson, we played our quartet for our professor and got some feedback which was helpful. We do, however, perform the quartet tomorrow for our studio recital…yeah..we’ll be fine though. When I got home, I pretty much just began working on a bunch of things for school that need to get done, which is sort of stressing me out so my break is currently doing this. It’s okay though, it’ll all get done.
Tomorrow, I have kind of a lot. I have my regular class, then a flute quartet is coming to perform for us in our studio class and then we have our studio recital and I also am teaching an undergad student tomorrow. Wow. Wednesday should be a bit slower, though that’ll mostly be me working on school stuff.
