It’s been a crazy past few days. Thursday was the big day of my recital and I honestly feel pretty good about it. I was able to mostly relax on Thursday before my recital and grabbed some food with my dad before heading over to the music building to set up. As far as I know, the livestreams worked and the Facebook one is on my page, though I’m currently trying to upload the rest to YouTube and a few on here as well. The first piece I played was the Chaminade Concertino, and it honestly was kinda trash and I had a couple memory slips…which is annoying because I’ve been “memorized” on that for a while. But I already got a nice recording of it so it’s fine. The Tchaikovsky went well as usual and honestly, I’m alright with my Chant de Linos performance. I don’t think it was too bad by any means and I think there’s some really good stuff that I did. Revamper was a blast, Shaylee and I decided to start in the back of the hall and then go down the steps to the stage to start the piece and I think it was cool. Then Tuberama was the final piece, which I’m also a touch proud of. I still didn’t move as much as I imagined, but it’s a ENORMOUS improvement from where I was. After my recital, I quickly changed and headed to the orchestra concert, as a flutist here was performing the Carmen fantasy. It was absolutely beautiful, as she always does. But overall it was a great concert in my opinion. Then, after dropping my dad off, I headed to go eat with some of the flute studio in celebration. I was going to post the studio picture I know we took…but I have no idea who has the actual photos lol.

Friday was a bit busier than I expected, mostly running errands with my dad. We went to a bunch of stores, then to someones apartment to pick up a bag, and other just random things. I had my methods and ped class online Friday as well, which was honestly nice to not have to leave my apartment and then be able to get dinner with my dad again afterwards. Then we just kinda chilled until bed. I also made an adult decision to buy an iPad, which is exciting. The tablet I’ve been using for music is getting pretty old and starting to be unreliable, so I took the plunge and got an iPad that I’ll pick up when I go home home. Today, we ran a few more errands, aka heading to the pet store because I want to get Piper a little dog backpack to carry all her stuff when we travel LOL. They didn’t have one in her size, but they did have like a giant version of the toy she loves that I got for her. I haven’t given it to her yet, as she went home with my dad, but she’ll get it when we come back to Morgantown. Why did Piper head home before me? For the first time probably ever in my life, I’m having a few people over Monday and Piper isn’t friendly. But I’ll see her Tuesday when I head home. After they both left though, I took a nap and then have basically spent the rest of the day editing and uploading my recital videos, and I’m still waiting on some to upload. It always takes an eternity, but it’ll be nice to have them up.

I think that’s all for this update. Recital was good, I’m definitely excited to move on to new music and just to have spring break this next week. I am really ready to have this spring break lol. It’ll be nice to go home and see everyone. As for blogging during spring break, I have no idea what or when I’m going to blog. I may blog again in the middle of the week….or I may be blogging when I’m back home on Saturday. We’ll see. It’s a break. Even though I have some things I want to get prepared for social media wise, but that to me is mostly fun. I enjoy the process of filming and editing. I’ll also hopefully compose some stuff. We’ll see.
