First off, I really was going to post yesterday, but I got back pretty late and didn’t want to. So here I am now. I haven’t been up to too much, again mostly hanging out with family and friends. For New Years Eve I did decide last minute to go to Louisville with my sister and friend, which was really fun. My sister and I went out for hotpot before heading to our hotel which was nice, then we spent the night there. On NYE we ended up doing a breakout room which was SO FUN. We broke out with like 3 minutes left to spare, which had us panicking and screaming by the end of it. It was really fun though, it was my first breakout room too. Afterwards, we stopped at this cute little cafe that had boba and food, which was probably some of the best food and boba I’ve had in a while! Then I spent the rest of the night with my family, doing our usual thing of watching movies and having snacks. This time round we watched the second Top Gun and I think some Alice in Borderland episodes.

Yumm

Yesterday, after more boba with my sister (wow maybe I do have a problem) and switching sim cards, I headed back to WV, which is bitter sweet. I love being at home and having a break, but I knew I wouldn’t get my stuff together if I didn’t go. So here I am now. Today I was determined to start getting my crap together, because I didn’t come back for nothing. So I started by unpacking my things and making my “loner corner” which I probably should be embarrassed about, but here I am posing a picture of it on the internet…

SKZ love lolol

Then I went to practice, which was good. I focused mostly on our audition music, as well as the Chaminade that I’ll be playing for our young artist competition next? week. Then of course I worked on Chant de Linos (ahh) and some competition music. Overall pretty good, especially when I consider I’m getting back into practicing once again. It’s always weird going to practice during breaks because there’s no one in the building and it’s super quiet. It’s like an abandoned building, or like I’ve been sent to the borderlands without knowing. The borderland feeling immediately disappears, thankfully, as when I step outside there’s moving cars. Right now, the place I did my undergrad, WKU, is doing a 100 days of practice thing for the students there. I’m not planning on participating, BUT I have a few people I know that are doing it and it’s actually really cool to see. I’m thinking it’ll be motivating as well.

After, I did adult things like grocery shopping and catching up on emails and other things to prepare for the semester. I’ll probably just relax the rest of the night, maybe compose a bit. As for blogging, I’ll probably do another post Sunday, then I’m thinking of blogging every other day throughout the semester. Who knows. I’ll probably do whatever I feel like lol.
